Overview
Chordial respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.
Copyright Infringement Notification
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible via our service, please notify our copyright agent as set forth in the DMCA. For your complaint to be valid under the DMCA, you must provide the following information:
Required Information for DMCA Takedown Notice:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, including your address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Counter-Notification Process
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. To be valid, a counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the content that has been removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your location
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Chordial has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to our service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others.
AI-Generated Content and Copyright
Chordial uses artificial intelligence to generate chord progressions and musical content. Please note:
- Our AI generates original chord progressions based on musical theory and patterns
- The AI does not intentionally copy existing copyrighted musical works
- Users are responsible for ensuring their use of generated content complies with applicable copyright laws
- If you believe our AI has generated content that infringes your copyright, please contact us immediately
User-Generated Content
Users may upload, share, or create content on our platform. By doing so, users represent and warrant that they own or have the necessary rights to use such content and that such use does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Response Time
We will process valid DMCA notices promptly. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content and notify the user who posted it. Counter-notifications will be processed according to DMCA requirements.
False Claims
Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing or was removed by mistake may be subject to liability for damages. Do not make false claims.
Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this DMCA policy at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated revision date.
